Cassidy Fitz-Randolph is a first-generation graduate of the Brinkley-Lane Scholarship program and Honors College of East Carolina University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Political Science with a concentration in pre-law studies.
During her time at ECU, Cassidy engaged in impactful research projects, including a study on barriers for re-entry among justice-involved individuals with a focus on how the COVID-19 pandemic exacerbated these issues. Cassidy also co-authored an essay on exceptional crime clearance published in "The U.S. Criminal Justice System: A Reference Handbook" and served as an intern at the Pitt County Public Defender's office. In her free time, Cassidy enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with her cat, Bugsy.
