Destiny Rosulme is originally from Les Cayes, Haiti and was raised in South Florida. She graduated from Swarthmore College with double majors in Human Rights and French and Francophone Studies.
She is passionate about racial justice, refugee and migrant rights advocacy, and gender-based violence. Her interest in providing direct services to vulnerable communities led her to work as an intern at Project Esperanza, a non-profit based in the Dominican Republic, where she taught English to Haitian youth and created community resources on topics such as breastfeeding and nutrition in Haitian-Creole. On campus, Destiny led English conversation events for Tajik migrants, created a peer-led survivor’s group, and co-facilitated her school’s Buddhist club. In her free time, she enjoys writing in her personal blog, watching A24 movies and spending time in nature with friends.
