Throughout her life, Julie has shown exemplary leadership talents: from heading her community college PUENTE Program to amplifying the voices of underrepresented communities in the area of juvenile justice and youth advocacy in her previous fellowships at Dream Beyond Bars and Alameda Youth Advisory Council. Her journey has been shaped by witnessing firsthand the vulnerabilities and injustices faced by marginalized communities, fueling her passion for reform and her plans to attend law school. In her free time, Julie enjoys traveling, attending music festivals, and spending time with friends and family.
