Jyanni is a dedicated professional with a diverse background in behavior intervention, advocacy, and research.
She is a first-generation college graduate holding a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of California, Riverside. During her time there, she dedicated herself to being of service to those in need through her participation in organizations such as AmeriCorps, where she provided mentorship to students and served as a board member for the URGE California Pro-Abortion Student Advisory Board. The extent of her research has primarily focused on the intersection of drug policy and health outcomes, including a professor-led study funded by the National Institute of Health examining the opioid crisis in Riverside County to taking her interests abroad, where she studied the relationship between drug policy and public health in Portugal. Jyanni enjoys spending her time working on ceramics projects and hiking with her friends.
