Throughout her time in college she attained volunteer experience at Brookdale Hospice, Grant Halliburton, and the Dallas Area Rape Crisis Center where she later became a staff advocate. Working at Hope Cottage following her bachelor's degree, she worked with students in Dallas schools, foster parents, and parenting clients, which instilled in her a passion for educational advocacy and working with vulnerable populations. This led to the completion of her Master's degree in Social Work from University of Houston. In her free time she enjoys creating collages, journaling, and reading as much fantasy and romance as possible.
