Gibran was born and raised in Los Angeles and graduated from UC Berkeley in 2023 with a major in Political Science and a minor in Ethnic studies. He previously interned at the Vera Institute of Justice, conducing research on the difficulties formerly incarcerated individuals face in finding housing and online communication problems existent for current incarcerated individuals. Gibran also served as an intern at the Alameda County Public Defender's office, assisting with both client needs regarding their diversion and attorney needs regarding their casework, which helped push him to become an advocate. In his free time, Gibran loves to watch and play soccer, try new foods, and spend time with friends.
