Miranda Lopez will be graduating from USC in May 2023 with her Masters Degree in Social Work with an emphasis in Social Change and Innovation. Her MSW Field Placement allowed her to work for a Pilot Program in Los Angeles helping Transitional Aged Foster Youth be paired with a mentor in their desired career field as well as receive financial aid and housing assistance.
She has been on several humanitarian trips including: Organizing a youth leadership conference using dance as a medium for healing in Beirut, Lebanon with Syrian Refugees and establishing a new Primary School in Chilinza Village with local leaders in Malawi, Africa. Miranda is passionate about serving those who are asylum-seeking or refugees in Los Angeles as well as anyone who has been affected by our criminal legal system. She specifically loves to write and use her words for justice. In fact, one piece she wrote advocating for unhoused individuals regarding the Heroes Act was published in the Downtown LA News in November 2020. In her free time, she loves to compete in Salsa Dancing.
