Sarah Mares is a Los Angeles native who currently resides in the Bay Area. She is a recent graduate from San Jose State University with honors and a degree in Social Work along with a minor in African American Studies and Women and Gender Studies. During her time at San Jose State University, Sarah also received a certification as a registered behavioral technician. Along with that, Sarah has worked with the unhoused population in shelters, specifically families with children, and also created media to promote the stop of teen dating violence. Sarah has a passion to help which derives from the community in which she grew up in, personal experience, and observation of the urgent need for change.
