Dafne Gonzalez is a first-generation graduate from the University of Virginia, where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Political & Social Thought with the highest distinction. During her time at UVA, Dafne served as the Head Program Director of Latinx and Migrant Aid, a volunteer-based program that provided educational resources and services to the local Latine migrant community. Drawing inspiration from her identity as a second-generation Mexican immigrant born and raised in Los Angeles, her college career culminated in a thesis dissecting the complex relationship between Chicane/x literature, the Chicano Movement, and racial formation theory. Thrilled to be back in LA, she hopes her work as a Client Advocate will contribute to a future founded on the principles of transformative justice and liberation for all.
