Dana is a passionate advocate for social justice, joining PFJ after serving as a public defender in Virginia.
With a strong commitment to just legal representation for indigent people, Dana’s practice focused on defending youth offenders, and adults accused of sex crimes and domestic violence. They also bring a strong research background, having published and presented on topics related to social psychology and legal studies, namely growth mindsets in interracial interactions and peer victimization in young children. Additionally, Dana serves as a coach for the University of Richmond Mock Trial Program, mentoring students in trial advocacy and fostering a commitment to social justice within the legal profession. They hold a J.D. from the University of Richmond School of Law, where they were named to the Order of the Barristers and received the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association Trial Advocate Award.
