Since high school, Skye has been involved in the harm reduction movement, working in drug overdose prevention, housing justice, and reproductive care for sex workers and low-income communities. She also worked closely with Deeds Not Words, a progressive feminist organization focused on Texas local politics, becoming Rice University's Campus Organizer her senior year. Skye was a member of the Rice Owls Dance Team, and continues to seek out drop-in dance classes in her free time.
